Hello World! my name is Gerald (Scotty) Scott a certified BOB BOSS art instructor. I first discovered my love for painting in 1988. I was switching through the television channels looking for an art program that I sometimes watched just for the thrill of watching someone paint. Then suddenly there was this guy with a big red Afro about halfway through one of the most gorgeous paintings I had ever seen. As he painted he often spoke of the places where the little creatures hide, I was totally captivated. At times it seemed he was speaking specifically to me, you can do it, he would say, you can do it”. That gentlemen was none other than the late Bob Ross. And you know, Bob was right, I could do it and after each passing day in my new found craft my talent grew bigger and bigger. Years later I continue to surprise myself with what I am able to create with a few tubes of paint and a hand full of over sized brushes that look as though I should be painting a house.

In November 1990 I completed an extensive program to become a certified BOB ROSS art instructor. I am now determined to help others discovered the hidden artist that dwells just below the surface in each of us. I regularly conducts BOB BOSS Workshops designed for the beginners as well as the advanced painter. My style is patient but demanding and rewarding, I have hundreds of students throughout the Midwest.
