The Jail Wall Disaster

This is a poem about a jail wall disaster which occurred in the city in which I grew up. This wall fell and killed a lot of people living in the surrounding area when the wall fell in 1943. Over the last couple of years a plaque was placed on a nearby wall in remembrance to all those who were killed. I often heard the story from my grandparents when I was growing up and it touched my heart which lead to me writing this poem.
